Morning in Cambodia

View from the hotel balcony on my first morning in Phnom Penh:
Car horns, tuk-tuk drivers laughing together on the sidewalk, a chaos of motorbikes, bicycles, and pedicabs; women pushing carts laden with plastic bottles and cans and tooting squeaky toys like an insistent chorus; aromas of fresh bread and noodle soup; a Vietnam vet in a cafe, wearing his old dogtags, telling of the bones he’s searched for and planning to carry home.
Good morning, Phnom Penh. Pleased to meet you.
